PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS:
ROBERT J. STEWART , Chair, NARP will talk about the national rail passenger Issues and give the annual "View from the Hill"
TIMOTHY DOHERTY, Director of Rail Programs, MassDOT, will be updating us on the progress being made in rebuilding the Connecticut River Line between Northfield and Springfield via Northampton .
We have also invited a representative from the MBTA to address the South Station expansion and the proposed service between Boston and New Bedford/Fall River.
The New England NARP Representatives will give local updates.
Registration will begin at 11:00 AM with the program beginning after the arrival of trains 150 and 692. The meal will be served at 12:00 Noon. It is a hot Italian buffet that includes a choice of a meat or vegetarian entrees along with salad, beverages and dessert.
We will adjourn no later than 4:00 PM.
The deadline for Registration is Wednesday, March 19, 2014., Early registrations must be postmarked by Saturday, March, 15, 2014 to get discount. The Hotel is located adjacent to Back Bay Station.
From Back Bay Station:
Back Bay Station serves most south side commuter trains and is on the Orange Line, which also serves North Station.
Go out the main door of the station. Turn right on Dartmouth Street. Turn right at the end of the block onto Stuart. Go one block on Stuart Street to Trinity Place. Hotel Entrance on Trinity Place.
